The Software Development Engineer II joins the team responsible for Leo's Tier 1 service for Leo Assets and Configs. In this role, you will design, implement, and deliver features across the full software development lifecycle, turning ambiguous requirements into maintainable solutions. Your daily responsibilities include writing and testing code, performing code reviews, mentoring other engineers, and identifying root causes for operational issues to improve system reliability. You will work with C#, C++, Java, or Perl to build large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications and tools. The position requires expertise in Object Oriented Design and experience with design patterns for scaling and reliability. You will solve technical problems to support a service meeting high security bars for providing internet to customers.

What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum due to export control laws.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred).
