The Supply Planner joins the Maritime team to manage the planning and sourcing of materials for autonomous underwater vehicles. This role involves managing material flow across the entire value chain, from raw materials to finished goods, while providing demand signaling for purchasing and manufacturing teams. Manage the planning and on-time delivery of raw materials for assembly lines and finished goods for customers.
Execute day-to-day demand signaling, ordering, and inventory management for specific product lines.
Identify supply issues and coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams to drive resolutions.
Analyze material health data to provide actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization.
Collaborate with engineering teams to source components, maintain vendor relationships, and develop make-vs-buy strategies.
Translate unconstrained forecasts into achievable demand plans in coordination with Business Development teams.
Develop and maintain operational processes within the MRP system and associated master data.
Support cost engineering activities to align bottom-up costs with total cost of ownership across product lifecycles.
What we're looking for
3+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in a supply chain or production role involving complex mechanical or electrical assemblies.
Demonstrated ability to manage a value chain from start to finish while coordinating multiple parties for on-time delivery under strict quality standards.
Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
Prior knowledge of NetSuite or a similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSME, BSEE) or another related technical degree.
Advanced technical degree or MBA (preferred).
Experience interacting with SQL databases to build custom queries for tracking production and inventory metrics (preferred).
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma principles (preferred).
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
