Supplier Quality Engineering, Rocket Motor Systems

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary point of accountability for all supplier quality matters regarding Rocket Motor Systems components.
• Act as the first responder for supplier nonconformances and delivery disruptions by leading immediate containment and triage.
• Manage the full corrective action lifecycle, including root cause verification and monthly reporting to the Corrective Action Board.
• Develop and execute supplier development plans to transition manufacturing processes from prototype stages to high-rate production.
• Conduct on-site audits of supplier facilities to evaluate manufacturing processes, quality systems, and production controls.
• Provide design-for-manufacturability and design-for-inspectibility feedback to engineering teams during the product development phase.
• Drive supplier qualification activities including First Article Inspections (AS9102), PPAP, and measurement systems analysis (MSA).
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks by developing qualification strategies for single-source or sole-source components.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of supplier quality engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or propulsion manufacturing.
• Experience scaling supplier quality from development and prototype phases through full-rate production.
• Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 requirements and experience conducting supplier audits.
• Proficiency with First Article Inspection (AS9102), PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and measurement systems analysis (MSA).
• Demonstrated ability to lead root cause investigations and corrective action processes such as 8D or SCAR.
• Familiarity with energetic materials, solid propellant manufacturing, or ordnance/pyrotechnic supply chains.
• Must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
