Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

What you'll do

• Provide design for manufacturability feedback and generate product data for precision mechanical parts during the development process.
• Manage technical risks, proof of concepts, and prototyping to scale designs for high-volume production.
• Drive supplier quality development through design reviews, testing, and qualification for components and sub-assemblies.
• Execute supplier readiness activities including PPAP, FAIR, audits, and measurement system development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure predictable supply and manage exceptions for supplier technical performance.
• Eliminate supplier risk by conducting audits, performing readiness reviews, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities and manage Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
• Audit supplier Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal standards.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a similar technical field.
• Experience producing precision mechanical parts for the aerospace or defense industries.
• Experience scaling supplier capabilities from prototype stages to high-rate production.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001-based Quality Management Systems.
• Proficiency in product development methodologies including FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, and GD&T.
• Experience with First Article Inspection (AS9102), supplier performance evaluation, and government regulations like ITAR.
• Analytical skills for data mining, metrics generation, and statistical analysis using tools like MatLab, JMP, or MiniTab.
• Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.
