What you'll do

• Translate emerging signals across technology and consumer behavior into long-range strategies for executive decision-making.
• Synthesize internal and external data from diverse customer scenarios to uncover actionable insights.
• Interpret customer contact data to identify trends, needs, and opportunities within the customer care division.
• Partner with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to translate findings into scalable technical solutions.
• Design systems that enable specialists to focus on high-value, human-centered interactions.
• Prepare executive briefings and board-level recommendations to influence business planning cycles.
• Scan adjacent industries and emerging technologies to identify potential disruptions in the e-commerce landscape.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, market intelligence, digital commerce, customer experience, or a related field.
• Experience detecting signals and emerging patterns across technology, consumer behavior, and market shifts to identify durable strategic forces.
• Knowledge of the e-commerce landscape, including next-generation shopping experiences, payment ecosystems, AI personalization, and omnichannel retail.
• Expertise in analyzing transformational shifts in customer service, such as conversational AI and hyper-personalization.
• Proficiency in applying structured foresight frameworks like scenario planning, horizon scanning, and futures mapping to create actionable business strategies.
• Ability to prepare executive briefings and board-level recommendations that distill complex, long-horizon thinking for business planning.
• Experience evaluating the startup ecosystem, academic research, regulatory environments, and emerging technology vendors to identify competitive shifts.
• Ability to scan adjacent industries like fintech and health tech for transferable disruptions (preferred).
• Experience working within or advising large-scale retail, technology, or platform companies (preferred).
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in commerce and customer engagement (preferred).
• Exposure to venture capital, accelerator, or innovation scouting environments (preferred).
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment (preferred).
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams (preferred).
