What you'll do

Translate customer needs into specific air vehicle and subsystem requirements for the aircraft program.
Develop system engineering artifacts and models to trace stakeholder inputs through a digital thread.
Integrate input from safety, software engineering, and other disciplines to shape system architecture.
Lead the program team through critical milestones including System Requirements, Preliminary Design, and Critical Design reviews.
Manage and communicate program risks in coordination with the Chief Engineer and Program Management.
Develop subsystem and component requirements while managing integration and test activities for complex systems.
Create Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) artifacts such as activity diagrams, use case diagrams, and parametric diagrams.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, computer science, or a similar engineering or technical field.
12+ years of systems engineering experience for an UAS with a focus on aircraft systems.
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and artifacts like SysML, DoDAF, or UAFP.
Familiarity with industry standards including MIL-HDBK-516C, MIL-STD-882E, ARP-4761, ARP-4754A, DO-178C, DO-254, and MIL-STD-881.
Experience in requirements elicitation, management, integration, and testing for complex systems like DoD weapon or space systems.
Proven experience leading systems engineering efforts on developmental programs and managing program risks.
Must hold an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
