Staff Software Engineer, Watchdog Anomaly Detection

What you'll do

• Lead the architecture and evolution of large-scale distributed systems for automated anomaly detection.
• Design and improve high-throughput streaming and batch processing pipelines for reliable issue detection.
• Drive initiatives to simplify, consolidate, and modernize existing systems for better scalability and efficiency.
• Define the long-term technical strategy for anomaly detection and its integration with alerting capabilities.
• Shape how anomaly detection capabilities are delivered across products to eliminate manual customer configuration.
• Provide technical leadership across engineering teams to align architectural decisions with platform goals.

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems for high-throughput or data-intensive backend platforms.
• Strong understanding of streaming and batch processing architectures for processing large volumes of data with low latency.
• Experience leading complex architectural initiatives and making technical tradeoffs to improve production system reliability and maintainability.
• Ability to drive technical strategy across teams and collaborate with leaders to translate customer needs into scalable solutions.
• Experience with technologies such as Flink, Kafka, Cassandra, Go, or Python (preferred).
• Product-oriented mindset with the ability to connect technical decisions to customer outcomes.
• Familiarity with machine learning systems or deploying models in production (preferred).
