Staff Software Engineer, Native Mobile

What you'll do

• Design and own the architecture for core native app surfaces in Swift and Kotlin.
• Define module boundaries, visibility rules, and compile-time checks to ensure a scalable codebase.
• Write and review code at depth across both iOS and Android platforms.
• Lead the agentic code translation workflow by implementing automated systems for migration tasks.
• Improve developer experience by optimizing build speeds, local workflows, and CI/CD reliability.
• Design synchronization strategies to keep native and React Native codebases in sync during transition.
• Establish mobile best practices and mentor engineers across the entire organization.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of iOS or Android mobile software engineering experience in Swift or Kotlin.
• Working proficiency in both iOS and Android platforms with a willingness to develop cross-platform fluency.
• Track record of shipping high-quality mobile applications at scale with ownership of architecture, performance, and release quality.
• Deep understanding of mobile performance optimization including cold start, frame stability, scroll jank, and time to interaction.
• Demonstrated ability to translate organizational strategy into technical execution and build alignment across cross-functional partners.
• Experience with AI-assisted code generation or LLM-driven development workflows with judgment on automation versus human review.
• Experience improving developer experience through build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and release tooling.
• Ability to use generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight for business-ready outputs.
