Staff Software Engineer, Mobile QA

What you'll do

• Own the technical strategy for mobile QA infrastructure during the transition from React Native to native Swift and Kotlin.
• Design and implement automated test systems for regression testing, performance validation, and release readiness gating.
• Lead the QA readiness workstream for phased rollouts by defining success metrics and operational requirements.
• Determine optimal investment levels for testing resources based on diminishing returns in quality gains.
• Partner with leadership to define SLOs and create metric-driven dashboards for rollout speed decisions.
• Create the QA onboarding playbook and mentor engineers on test architecture, native debugging, and quality standards.
• Manage dual-codebase parity validation and lead postmortems to improve engineering practices during large-scale migrations.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in mobile test infrastructure for native iOS and Android at scale.
• Proven track record of defining and delivering test infrastructure strategy that other engineering teams depend on.
• Proficiency in Swift and Kotlin to architect test frameworks, debug native app behavior, and enforce compile-time quality constraints.
• Experience operating QA processes during large-scale migrations or platform transitions including dual-codebase parity validation and phased rollout gates.
• Demonstrated ability to build alignment with cross-functional partners on quality standards, testing strategy, and release criteria.
• Ability to use generative AI responsibly to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency.
