Staff Software Engineer, Message Delivery & Dispatch

What you'll do

• Architect high-scale, resilient infrastructure for multi-channel message delivery including email, SMS, push notifications, and AdTech.
• Integrate AI technologies into the messaging ecosystem to drive real-time, personalized customer communications at scale.
• Serve as the primary technical authority on email governance and regulatory compliance standards like UDAAP and FCCPA.
• Lead the modernization of legacy systems into a unified, vendor-agnostic Enterprise Message Delivery platform.
• Implement automated workflows and engineering standards to optimize delivery processes and reduce operational costs.
• Develop robust telemetry and analytics pipelines to provide real-time observability and data-driven optimization for delivery pathways.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers navigating complex challenges in a highly regulated environment.

What we're looking for

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
• At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture.
• At least 7 years of experience in Enterprise architecture and design patterns.
• At least 2 years of experience deploying and delivering platforms within cloud environments.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with LLM systems, including RAG, embeddings, and model governance.
• 10+ years of professional experience coding in languages like Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript (preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in the full lifecycle of system development from conception through production support (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in modern cloud technologies, microservices, and real-time data streaming (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in regulated domains to ensure compliance with risk and legal standards (preferred).
• Experience in Martech, messaging domains, and email governance regulations like CAN-SPAM or TCPA (preferred).
