Staff Engineer, Developer Insights & AI Telemetry

What you'll do

• Architect the long-term enterprise roadmap for distributed AI telemetry, streaming data engineering, and automated developer insight frameworks.
• Evolve the internal developer telemetry platform into a stateless, low-latency system capable of handling billions of annual events.
• Deploy advanced inference capabilities like LLM-as-a-Judge to score code complexity and calculate the ROI of generative AI tools.
• Manage the end-to-end data strategy by transitioning from batch reporting to real-time event-driven architectures using a Medallion structure.
• Link AI code density and telemetry data to core business outcomes like Feature Lead Time and PR cycle time.
• Design and enforce privacy-by-design principles, including automated PII masking and secret filtering for engineering tools.
• Provide direct technical contributions by prototyping systems, evaluating build vs. buy paths, and mentoring senior engineers.

What we're looking for

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (preferred).
• At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture.
• At least 5 years of experience with big data engineering, distributed computing, or data architecture.
• At least 3 years of experience with Big Data and data streaming.
• At least 4 years of experience building and optimizing production-grade ML/AI lifecycles, pipelines, or frameworks.
• At least 2 years of cloud computing experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
• 10+ years of professional experience coding in Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript (preferred).
