What you'll do

Architect and build production LLM-backed systems and integrations on third-party AI platforms.
Write production code to prototype new platform capabilities and unblock teams on hard technical problems.
Define abstractions and shared patterns to allow multiple platform teams to move independently.
Track evolving platform protocols and policies to turn them into roadmap and architecture decisions.
Establish testing and evaluation strategies for integrations across environments not fully controlled by the company.
Partner with Security and Legal to ensure integrations comply with financial regulations and data privacy standards.
Set standards for monitoring, latency, cost, and incident response for platform-facing services.
Mentor engineers on system design, LLM-backed development, and high-quality coding practices.

What we're looking for

8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3+ years at the Staff level.
Deep hands-on experience building and operating production backend systems.
Experience building production features on LLMs including tool use, RAG, evals, and handling non-deterministic output.
Advanced knowledge of a modern TypeScript stack including Node.js, React, GraphQL, Postgres, and Redis.
Experience designing APIs and shared services with a focus on versioning and backward compatibility.
Experience building on third-party platforms or ecosystems with external constraints and review processes.
Strong understanding of authentication, authorization patterns like OAuth, and security best practices for sensitive data.
Experience building apps or agents for major AI assistant platforms (preferred).
