What you'll do

Lead the design of distributed, fault-tolerant backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and event-driven architectures.
Build and deliver scalable microservices and data pipelines using Kafka, Cassandra, Spark, and Airflow.
Design and implement intelligent Agentic AI-powered workflows to automate processes and enhance business decision-making.
Develop scalable payment platform capabilities for international markets ensuring regulatory compliance and high availability.
Architect platform capabilities for Marketplace Capital products including lending, cashback eligibility, and financial decisioning.
Establish engineering best practices and maintain clean, performant code for cloud-native applications across Azure and GCP.
Ensure system reliability through CI/CD practices, observability monitoring, and disaster recovery strategies.
Build reusable tools and frameworks to accelerate developer productivity and reduce operational overhead.

What we're looking for

Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4 years of software engineering experience, or 6 years of software engineering experience.
Must have professional experience in backend systems and a proven track record of leading architecture for distributed platforms.
Must have deep proficiency in Java (JDK 21), Spring Boot, Kafka, Cassandra, Spark, and Airflow.
Must have experience designing multi-tenant cloud-native systems across Azure, GCP, or private cloud environments.
Must have experience designing or integrating AI-powered applications, LLM-based workflows, or Agentic AI solutions into enterprise platforms.
Experience building or contributing to payments, financial services, lending, fintech, marketplace, or international payment platforms (preferred).
Must have experience mentoring engineers and setting technical direction for engineering excellence.
Knowledge of implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies (preferred).
