What you'll do

  • Design, build, and operate the core agent runtime including event ingestion, planning, and tool invocation.
  • Develop and maintain auditable tool interfaces for interacting with infrastructure, CI/CD platforms, and network services.
  • Implement safety controls such as permission boundaries, blast-radius limits, and emergency shutdown capabilities for automated actions.
  • Build event-routing systems to prioritize alerts, pipeline failures, and operational requests for the agent runtime.
  • Establish telemetry standards including logs, metrics, and traces to monitor agent performance and system health.
  • Develop evaluation capabilities such as historical incident replay and shadow-mode testing to measure decision quality.
  • Create a user-facing operator experience featuring approval workflows, activity history, and status dashboards.
  • Package reusable components and documentation so other teams can adopt the platform through self-service practices.

What we're looking for

  • Must possess eligibility to work in the United States at the date of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Eight or more years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, distributed systems, DevOps, AIOps, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Python for developing services, APIs, automation, orchestration systems, or agent runtimes.
  • Experience developing production agentic systems, tool-using AI applications, or autonomous/semi-autonomous software control loops.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies like Kafka, Pub/Sub, or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with production observability practices including structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
  • Experience developing front-end solutions using React, Next.js, or Angular with TypeScript or Python (preferred); Go development experience (preferred).
