Staff Research Scientist

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end incubations from initial ideation and prototyping through to final deployment.
• Develop advanced ML modeling approaches and architectures to unlock new product capabilities.
• Drive applied ML research and development to address strategic company priorities.
• Partner with software, hardware, and design teams to shape product direction and technical strategy.
• Deliver scalable machine learning technologies that improve user experience across multiple platforms.
• Translate complex technical work into clear communication for executive leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Mentor team members and establish high standards for technical excellence within the organization.
• Publish research findings and engage with the academic community to share innovative breakthroughs.

What we're looking for

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field; or an equivalent track record of incubating and shipping ML products.
• 5+ years of industry experience working within an ML team.
• Deep understanding of the ML model lifecycle for large-scale systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in ML with a publication record in relevant conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, or others.
• Proficiency in modeling skills and deep familiarity with toolkits like JAX, PyTorch, and/or TensorFlow.
• Ability to influence high-level architecture decisions and advocate for novel research directions with leadership (preferred).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to translate complex technical work for a broad audience (preferred).
• Experience working across hardware, software, and design partnerships to bring ML capabilities to production (preferred).
