The Staff Product Development Technical Program Manager joins the Data Center Platform Engineering Group to lead the management and execution of AI and hyperscale server platform programs. This role involves driving system-level hardware execution across the full product lifecycle, from early architecture and definition through design, validation, production release, and end-of-life. The successful candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver scalable server platforms, managing complex dependencies across electrical, mechanical, power, thermal, manufacturing, and supply chain domains. Key responsibilities include owning technical program strategy, managing Bill of Materials (BOM) lifecycles, and ensuring designs meet manufacturability and reliability requirements. The role requires expertise in hardware systems, including PCBAs, BMC, BIOS, and solution software, to solve technical challenges in cloud-enabling server platforms and high-performance computing infrastructures.
Lead the management and execution of AI and hyperscale server platform programs across the full product lifecycle.
Translate platform requirements and product specifications into executable hardware programs with defined milestones and deliverables.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to integrate hardware, firmware, and software architectures while managing inter-team dependencies.
Ensure designs meet manufacturability, reliability, and scalability requirements by partnering with manufacturing and supplier teams.
Establish execution mechanisms including weekly program reviews and milestone checkpoints to drive accountability and resolve escalations.
Identify and mitigate system-level risks to minimize impacts on schedule, cost, quality, and supply continuity.
Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) strategy from early prototype through production to ensure cost optimization and technical integrity.
Provide data-driven program status, trade-offs, and recommendations to senior leadership and strategic customers.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Advanced degree (MS) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
Formal project management education, PMP, or Scrum Master certification (preferred).
Proven experience owning system-level hardware programs across the full development lifecycle from architecture to production ramp (preferred).
Strong technical depth in hardware systems including experience with one or more of the following: PCBAs, mechanical architecture, power, thermals, OS, BMC, BIOS, or solution software (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional execution across hardware engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations, and supply chain teams (preferred).
Experience driving design for manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability with manufacturing engineers and suppliers (preferred).
Hands-on experience managing Bill of Materials (BOM) lifecycle with disciplined change control and configuration management (preferred).
