TL;DR · Staff Product Development Technical Program Manager

Staff Product Development Technical Program Manager joins the Data Center Platform Engineering Group to lead the execution of AI and hyperscale server platform programs. This role serves as a system-level integrator, managing complex hardware projects through the entire lifecycle from initial architecture and prototyping to production ramp and end-of-life. The manager coordinates cross-functional teams across electrical, mechanical, power, thermal, manufacturing, and supply chain domains to ensure products meet strict cost, quality, and schedule targets. Key responsibilities include managing Bill of Materials (BOM) strategy, overseeing firmware and BIOS integration, and driving design for manufacturability and reliability. The ideal candidate possesses a technical background in electrical or mechanical engineering and can navigate hardware-software dependencies while communicating risks to senior leadership. This role solves critical infrastructure challenges by delivering scalable server solutions for cloud and telecommunications environments.

What you'll do

  • Manage the execution of AI and hyperscale server platforms across the full product lifecycle from architecture to end-of-life.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams in hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and supply chain to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets.
  • Act as a system integrator to align hardware, firmware, and software architectures while managing inter-team dependencies.
  • Ensure designs meet manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability requirements for production readiness and long-term sustainability.
  • Lead Bill of Materials (BOM) strategy and execution from prototype through high-volume manufacturing with disciplined change control.
  • Identify and mitigate system-level risks by developing proactive resolution plans to protect program timelines and quality.
  • Provide data-driven status reports, trade-off analyses, and escalation paths to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Establish execution mechanisms including weekly reviews and milestone checkpoints to drive accountability across global teams.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Formal project management education, PMP, or Scrum Master certification.
  • Proven experience managing system-level hardware programs through the full lifecycle from architecture to production ramp.
  • Technical expertise in hardware systems including PCBAs, mechanical architecture, power, thermals, BMC, and BIOS.
  • Experience managing Bill of Materials (BOM) lifecycles with disciplined change control and configuration management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations, and supply chain.
  • Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders and provide data-driven risk assessments to senior leadership.
