What you'll do

Lead the mechanical design of automated manufacturing equipment from initial concept through commissioning.
Develop system-level designs, simulations, and engineering studies to de-risk concepts and define requirements.
Perform reach studies and motion simulations for robotic systems and infrastructure.
Design and integrate fixtures, assembly tooling, and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) for industrial robots.
Integrate mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic power systems into manufacturing equipment.
Create detailed 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and comprehensive bills of materials.
Oversee prototype fabrication, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting during production rollout.
Establish mechanical design standards and mentor junior engineers across multiple concurrent programs.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a similar field.
12+ years of experience in mechanical design with a focus on automation, machinery, or robotics.
Must be a U.S. Person due to access to export-controlled information or facilities.
Strong 3D CAD capability in NX and proficient 2D CAD capability in AutoCAD.
Expert ability to perform mechanical calculations including statics, dynamics, and material selection.
Extensive experience performing FEA, motion studies, and system-level simulations to de-risk designs.
Experience with fabrication processes such as machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and additive manufacturing.
Track record of owning end-to-end equipment development and implementation.
