Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Diffusion, Generative Modeling and Inference

What you'll do

• Develop innovative machine learning technology and products to serve millions of Snapchat users.
• Build cutting-edge augmented reality experiences using generative models.
• Deliver generative machine learning experiences directly on mobile and wearable devices.
• Train large-scale diffusion models for images, videos, or 3D content.
• Build and optimize machine learning inference pipelines for efficient performance.
• Apply distillation, quantization, and model compression techniques to improve model efficiency.
• Optimize machine learning models for GPU, CPU, and NPU hardware.
• Prototype new products and explore generative AI technologies with cross-functional teams.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics.
• 8+ years of post-Bachelor’s machine learning experience, or a Master's plus 7+ years, or a PhD plus 4+ years.
• Experience with Computer Vision or Generative Modeling techniques.
• Experience working with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, MLX, or scikit-learn.
• Deep understanding of mathematics and machine learning algorithms.
• Familiarity with Neural Networks, Deep Learning, and Generative Modeling.
• Advanced degree in computer science or a related field (preferred).
• Experience training large-scale diffusion models, model compression, or optimizing ML inference pipelines (preferred).
