Machine Learning Engineer, Generative ML, Level IV

What you'll do

• Develop innovative machine learning technologies and products for millions of Snapchat users.
• Build state-of-the-art generative pipelines for image, video, language, and audio generation.
• Deliver generative machine learning experiences directly on mobile devices.
• Create augmented reality experiences using generative and diffusion models.
• Prototype new products in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Develop the full stack of generative AI including foundational models and efficient infrastructure.
• Build agentic systems and tools to empower creators and developers.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of post-Bachelor’s machine learning experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience, or a PhD in a relevant field.
• Research or engineering experience in generative models, efficient models, diffusion models, language models, or related applications.
• Strong software development skills in Python or C++.
• Proficiency working with major deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Knowledge of mathematics and deep learning foundations.
• Experience developing real-time software for mobile applications (preferred).
• Knowledge of GenAI foundations, efficient model foundations, or a track record of successful projects/publications in the field (preferred).
