What you'll do

Lead and mentor a team of engineers to deliver high-impact results and foster a culture of quality.
Drive the architectural vision and long-term technical roadmap for the Validation and Eval product suite.
Translate business requirements from product managers into robust technical designs and features.
Design and implement complex components for LLM evaluation frameworks and benchmarking tools.
Develop systems to ensure database state equivalence during application and database modernization projects.
Enforce engineering best practices through rigorous design reviews and code reviews.
Contribute directly to the codebase as a hands-on leader solving complex technical challenges.
Participate in recruiting, hiring, and growing the engineering team.

What we're looking for

8+ years of commercial software development experience with at least one JVM language like Java and strong Python experience.
2+ years of experience leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of software engineers.
Solid experience in software architecture and development.
Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks (DeepEval, Ragas, Promptfoo) and LLM-as-a-judge methodologies.
Experience in application/database modernization including change data capture and state comparison algorithms.
Extensive experience with relational and document data modeling using SQL and NoSQL databases.
Good understanding of algorithms, data structures, and their time and space complexity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
