What you'll do

Define and drive the overall technical strategy for the Developer Activity Metrics platform.
Lead data modeling and schema governance to ensure metrics are consistently defined and reproducible.
Establish and enforce data quality standards including reconciliation, drift detection, and validation processes.
Drive the integration strategy between developer activity metrics and adjacent data sources like AI spend and DORA.
Architect and deliver an API layer to enable self-service metric consumption for engineering teams and dashboards.
Build and maintain operational runbooks, monitoring, and alerting to ensure pipeline health.
Mentor engineers on technical design, code quality, and data engineering best practices.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
10+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
8+ years of experience with architecture and system design.
6+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.
4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Fluency in modern programming languages including Go and Python.
Strong SQL skills with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and familiarity with NoSQL and graph databases (preferred).
Experience designing and operating ETL/ELT data pipelines, building data quality processes, and designing REST or GraphQL APIs.
