Staff Embedded Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and maintain robust firmware and low-level device drivers for 3rd-party automotive components and AV sensors.
• Execute board bring-up, hardware validation, and software deployment for custom in-house autonomous computing platforms.
• Partner with electrical engineers to implement hardware-software interfaces and participate in schematic reviews.
• Use oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to troubleshoot system-level issues and optimize sensor data pipelines.
• Ensure strict timing and network synchronization across vehicle networks using protocols like PTP or CAN.
• Develop firmware for high-performance autonomous driving SoCs and optimize data pipelines using hardware accelerators.
• Mentor team members and establish best practices for embedded software architecture and code quality.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience developing embedded software using modern C/C++ in RTOS or bare-metal environments.
• Experience writing firmware and device drivers for automotive-grade components, SoCs, and autonomous vehicle sensors like LiDAR, radar, and cameras.
• Proficiency with hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Familiarity with standard automotive interfaces and vehicle networks including CAN/CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, FPD-Link/GMSL, PCIe, SPI, and I2C.
• Experience contributing to embedded hardware systems from prototyping through production deployment in autonomous vehicle, robotics, or mission-critical automotive domains.
• Experience collaborating with electrical engineers on custom board designs, schematic reviews, and component selection (preferred).
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 standards, MISRA C/C++, PTP/gPTP, and high-performance AV SoCs like NVIDIA DRIVE or Qualcomm Snapdragon Ride (preferred).
