Staff AI Data Scientist

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end data science projects from initial problem formulation to final model deployment.
• Develop prescriptive AI/ML solutions by converting complex business constraints into mathematical objective functions.
• Build and enforce quantitative evaluation harnesses to benchmark reasoning quality and hallucination rates for LLMs and multi-agent swarms.
• Implement responsible-AI practices including proactive bias detection, fairness constraints, and model-risk controls.
• Integrate enterprise knowledge graphs and semantic layers to ensure high-fidelity retrieval for RAG pipelines.
• Monitor production inference data to proactively detect concept drift, data degradation, and model decay.
• Mentor junior data scientists by providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Translate data science outputs into measurable business outcomes and identify levers to achieve team objectives.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent quantitative field.
• 6+ years of experience developing, evaluating, or applying modern AI/ML solutions, including LLMs, RAG, optimization, or causal methods.
• 6+ years of demonstrated understanding of AI evaluation, responsible-AI practices, and bias/risk mitigation.
• 6+ years of experience evaluating production GenAI and agentic systems using golden datasets, LLM-as-a-judge, and guardrail analysis.
• 6+ years of progressively complex data science experience (or 3+ years with a Master’s degree).
• Expertise in developing and deploying state-of-the-art algorithms using machine learning, statistical, and optimization methods.
• Expertise in modern analytics tools, programming languages, and cloud platforms including Python, R, Spark, SQL, and GCP.
• Master's degree and/or Ph.D. (preferred); Retail, Logistics, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or Marketing experience (preferred).
