What you'll do

  • Lead exploratory data analysis to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and machine learning models.
  • Develop, optimize, and ensure the scalability of statistical and machine learning models.
  • Design and support the deployment of recommendation and ranking systems for digital channels.
  • Develop multi-stage ranking approaches including candidate generation and re-ranking.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement of key business metrics in assigned functional areas.
  • Mentor junior data scientists by providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of learning.
  • Partner with engineering teams to support real-time personalization and scalable model deployment.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or an equivalent quantitative field.
  • Master’s degree and/or Ph.D. (preferred).
  • 3+ years of progressively complex data science experience.
  • Extensive experience developing and deploying state-of-the-art algorithms using machine learning, statistical, and optimization methods.
  • Expert proficiency in modern analytics tools, programming languages, and cloud platforms including Python, R, Spark, SQL, and GCP.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
  • Experience proposing rapid experiments to test new strategies and iterating quickly.
  • Retail and Logistics experience, or experience with supply chain management and marketing models (preferred).
