What you'll do

  • Design and build a next-generation experimentation platform for the Ads Platform organization.
  • Develop statistical methods and experiment designs that account for marketplace dynamics and yield reliable treatment effects.
  • Conduct rigorous end-to-end analyses using SQL, Python, and causal inference to improve treatment effect estimates.
  • Build scalable data pipelines, dashboards, and automated reporting tools using SQL, Pyspark, or Scala.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers and scientists on statistical techniques and experiment design.
  • Design and execute counterfactual causal inference studies to measure the long-term impact of interventions.
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact questions by working directly with senior stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers and scientists on the team.

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in software and data science or statistics.
  • 8+ years of industry experience building scalable applications.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, or a related field.
  • In-depth understanding of SQL and causal inference.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Pyspark or Scala to build data products and pipelines.
  • Experience with A/B testing infrastructure, methodologies, and randomized control trials.
  • Familiarity with causal machine learning tools and observational causal techniques like regression and propensity score matching.
  • Ability to lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines with robust quality checks.
