What you'll do
- Design and implement scalable data architecture patterns on Snowflake for high-volume event and analytics workloads.
- Establish and maintain technical standards for data modeling and dbt workflows to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Implement secure, role-based access controls and managed schemas to ensure governed and auditable data access.
- Develop data quality and observability frameworks using dbt tests to monitor pipeline health and performance.
- Translate complex business requirements into clean, well-governed semantic data models for self-service analytics.
- Define and manage data lifecycle and retention strategies to balance performance, cost efficiency, and compliance.
- Mentor engineers and analysts while serving as a technical leader for data architecture practices.
What we're looking for
- 5–8 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a related field.
- Deep expertise in cloud data warehousing with hands-on Snowflake experience including performance tuning and security design.
- Strong experience designing and maintaining dbt-based transformation workflows.
- Experience working with event or clickstream data using Snowplow or comparable technologies.
- Proven ability to design semantic layers and analytics-ready data models for BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Domo.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) is preferred.
- Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster is preferred.
