What you'll do

  • Act as the Cyber Subject Matter Expert to ensure compliance within the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Research, analyze, and test COTS, GOTS, and open-source technologies to address Cyberspace Operations capability gaps.
  • Provide systems engineering recommendations for the development of complex software and hardware systems.
  • Develop and document technical standard operating procedures and processes as needed.
  • Implement system enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and security through installation, monitoring, and configuration.
  • Perform security assessments to ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD RMF guidelines.
  • Apply cyber security technologies including COMSEC, COMPUSEC, EMSEC, and OPSEC across network protocols and architectures.
  • Create milestones and metrics to monitor adherence to software plans and manage resource allocation for project goals.

What we're looking for

  • Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance at time of application.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12+ years of engineering experience, or 10+ years with a Master's, or 8+ years with a PhD.
  • Experience executing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle and maintaining continuous monitoring for mid-sized enterprise environments.
  • DoD 8570 Security certification such as Sec+, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent (preferred).
  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI clearance (preferred).
  • Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, including user management, security patching, and troubleshooting (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering practices, network technologies, and system development life-cycles.
  • Ability to perform analysis, design, and security assessments for compliance with NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD RMF guidelines.
