Staff Cloud Security Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, deploy, and maintain security measures for cloud infrastructures across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Secure containerized applications by implementing Kubernetes and microservices security best practices.
• Architect secure container environments including Docker setups and orchestration solutions to reduce vulnerabilities.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud environments and workloads.
• Automate security operations and workflows using Python to monitor for threats and compliance.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and threat modeling for cloud infrastructure.
• Integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate and remediate cloud security incidents in collaboration with the incident response team.

What we're looking for

• Must work a hybrid schedule of at least 3 days on site in Atlanta, DC, or Silver Spring.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience working as a Cloud Security Engineer or a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Proficiency in writing scripts and automation using Python.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including securing clusters and workloads.
• Strong knowledge of work productivity tools like Office 365 and Atlassian.
• Demonstrated experience working with CSPM platforms like Wiz, Divvy Cloud, Prisma Cloud, or Orca (Wiz is preferred).
• Relevant security certifications such as AWS, GCP, or Azure Security Engineer (preferred).
