You will manage hardware and software system documents through gate reviews while coordinating with design engineers on testability feedback. The work centers on solving complex manufacturing challenges for satellite-to-satellite communication systems within a multi-disciplinary production environment.

What you'll do

  • Lead the development and validation of test systems for satellite hardware and software integration.
  • Design and develop software scripts and hardware setups to validate various satellite bus subsystems.
  • Analyze manufacturing data using tools like MATLAB or Python to identify and troubleshoot yield issues.
  • Define test strategies and optimize production processes, including the design of test fixtures and equipment.
  • Provide "design for testability" feedback to engineering teams during the product development lifecycle.
  • Create technical documentation, maintenance plans, and troubleshooting guides to support high-volume manufacturing.
  • Manage cross-functional schedules, requirements, and specifications for hardware development programs.

What we're looking for

  • Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
  • 3+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems using design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement.
  • Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates.
