Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Consumer Incentives

What you'll do

• Define the long-term ML vision, architecture, and technical roadmap for Consumer Incentives.
• Turn ambiguous problems into actionable technical strategies and drive execution from formulation to production.
• Design models and algorithms to improve incentive relevance and optimize decisions under business constraints.
• Architect and contribute to end-to-end ML systems including data pipelines, model training, and monitoring.
• Establish rigorous approaches for model evaluation, experimental design, and causal measurement of business outcomes.
• Evaluate and implement emerging techniques like reinforcement learning, foundation models, and generative AI.
• Mentor engineers and technical leaders to raise the quality of technical decision-making across the organization.

What we're looking for

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• 12+ years of machine learning experience, including significant work on large-scale deep learning systems.
• Demonstrated ownership of high-impact ML systems such as search, recommendations, personalization, or targeting.
• Proven ability to set technical strategy for a large organization and influence product roadmaps at the executive level.
• Strong product intuition and the ability to connect model improvements to business outcomes.
• Track record of successfully launching multi-year, multi-org ML initiatives that drove step-change business outcomes (preferred).
• Successfully championed and driven the adoption of multi-year technical roadmaps across multiple large engineering organizations (preferred).
• Elevated engineering standards through mentorship and technical leadership, establishing org-wide best practices (preferred).
