The Sr Specialist, IPTL Mechanical Engineer (Space Systems) joins the Space, Superiority and Imaging Division to lead engineering activities across the full program lifecycle. Lead engineering activities across the full program lifecycle from proposal and architecture to final design documentation.
Serve as a technical lead for complex payload and space vehicle systems while meeting cost and schedule requirements.
Manage project execution through schedule development, resource alignment, budget tracking, and earned value monitoring.
Identify, track, and mitigate program risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead engineering efforts in material selection, manufacturing, assembly, integration, testing, and design for manufacturing.
Coordinate with functional organizations to ensure staffing, approvals, and materials are available to meet goals.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field with 6 years of experience; Graduate degree with 4 years; or 10 years experience without a degree.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
At least 4 years of experience with mechanical detailed design, new product development, manufacturing processes, and MCAD modeling tools.
Professional experience managing technical, cost, and schedule performance in a professional setting.
Professional experience leading a technical team of engineers.
