Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineering

What you'll do

• Design and develop specialized test equipment for electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical products.
• Perform extensive analog and digital circuit design, including microcontrollers, data acquisition, and filtering.
• Create and implement embedded firmware to control hardware using various serial communication protocols.
• Utilize CAE tools like Altium and SPICE for circuit design, verification, and board layout.
• Troubleshoot hardware and circuits using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and function generators.
• Present designs to internal and external customers to review and address technical issues.
• Create technical documentation including engineering drawings, calibration procedures, and operating instructions.
• Manage engineering changes and configuration processes for large-scale technical projects.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience, Graduate Degree and 4+ years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
• Extensive experience in analog and digital circuit design, microcontrollers, data acquisition, and printed circuit design.
• Proficiency in power supply design, power conversion concepts, and serial communication protocols like UART, SPI, and I2C.
• Proficiency in schematic capture and board layout utilities such as Altium or PADS.
• Skilled in troubleshooting using laboratory equipment like oscilloscopes, function generators, and DMMs.
• Skilled in modeling and simulation utilities such as SPICE and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Ability to lead large-scale technical projects and create expert technical documentation (preferred).
