Senior Software Test Automation Engineer, HIL

What you'll do

• Test systems software functionality and performance in standalone and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments.
• Develop and execute manual test plans and scripts to detect software problems.
• Validate that systems software meets all technical and functional requirements.
• Perform workflow analysis and document test results to recommend quality improvements.
• Diagnose and resolve software defects in coordination with engineering teams.
• Improve product configurations for current and future medical device models.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of testing software technologies and HIL testing methods.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience, Master's with 2 years, or PhD with 0 years of experience.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing in an embedded or medical device environment.
• Experience integrating hardware, software, and simulation-based test setups to validate system performance and reliability.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.
• Expert knowledge of Medical Product verification, IEC-62304, and FDA guidance in a technical discipline (preferred).
• Experience debugging hardware with tools such as oscilloscope and function generators (preferred).
• Experience writing, executing, and maintaining test automation scripts in Python or a comparable language (preferred).
• Experience using a tool or repository for managing test cases such as Polarion, TFS, TestRail, or JAMA (preferred).
