As a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer, you will join a cross-functional team to design, code, and maintain automated tests for server-side software components, APIs, services, and integrations. You will develop reusable automation frameworks, test utilities, mock services, and validation tools while ensuring security best practices like encryption are applied across system designs. Your daily work involves troubleshooting and optimizing software performance, reliability, and interoperability across hardware and software interfaces. The role requires expertise in C/C++, embedded applications, and industrial automation protocols such as CIP, OPC-UA, and MQTT. You will also manage low-latency, time-critical network communications over Wi-Fi and utilize AI software development tools. This position addresses the technical challenge of ensuring robust functionality across distributed systems, databases, and complex hardware-software interfaces within a sophisticated technological environment.
Design, code, and maintain automated tests for server-side software components, APIs, services, and integrations.
Develop and enhance reusable automation frameworks, test utilities, mock services, and validation tools.
Implement security best practices, including encryption and secure communications, across system designs.
Troubleshoot and optimize software performance, reliability, and interoperability across hardware and software interfaces.
Identify, document, troubleshoot, and track software defects in collaboration with development teams.
Provide technical leadership on cross-functional teams and contribute to engineering best practices.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Seven years of software development experience including coding automated tests for server-side or backend systems.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
Experience testing APIs, services, databases, and distributed software systems (preferred).
Working knowledge of industrial automation protocols such as CIP, OPC-UA, and MQTT (preferred).
Experience with C/C++ and embedded applications (preferred).
Understanding of low-latency, time-critical network communications over Wi-Fi (preferred).
Proficiency with AI software development tools (preferred).
