JOB TITLE: Software Test Automation Engineer
As a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer, you will join a cross-functional team to design, code, and maintain automated tests for server-side software components, APIs, services, and integrations. Your daily responsibilities include developing reusable automation frameworks, test utilities, mock services, and validation tools while applying security best practices like encryption. You will troubleshoot and optimize software performance, reliability, and interoperability across hardware and software interfaces. The role requires proficiency in C/C++, embedded applications, and testing distributed software systems, databases, and APIs. You will also utilize industrial automation protocols such as CIP, OPC-UA, and MQTT, alongside AI software development tools. This position addresses technical challenges involving low-latency, time-critical network communications over Wi-Fi and ensures high-quality software delivery through rigorous defect tracking and engineering best practices.
Design, code, and maintain automated tests for server-side software components, APIs, services, and integrations.
Develop and enhance reusable automation frameworks, test utilities, mock services, and validation tools.
Apply security best practices, including encryption and secure communications, across system design and implementation.
Troubleshoot and optimize software performance, reliability, and interoperability across hardware and software interfaces.
Identify, document, troubleshoot, and track software defects in collaboration with development teams.
Provide technical leadership on a cross-functional team and contribute to engineering best practices.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Seven (7) years of software development experience including coding automated tests for server-side or backend software systems.
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
Experience testing APIs, services, databases, and distributed software systems (preferred).
Working knowledge of industrial automation protocols such as CIP, OPC-UA, and MQTT (preferred).
Experience with C/C++ and embedded applications (preferred).
Understanding of low-latency, time-critical network communications over Wi-Fi (preferred).
