Senior Software Release Engineer, Infrastructure Services

What you'll do

• Establish standard methodologies and resiliency measures like chaos testing for release processes.
• Drive performance and capacity planning for large-scale cloud network services.
• Lead incident response efforts and conduct detailed postmortems.
• Maintain comprehensive release documentation for infrastructure services.
• Ensure quality in deployment automation and operational reliability with multi-functional teams.
• Present and defend engineering proposals to influence organizational success.
• Design and operationalize large-scale release and CI/CD testing platforms.

What we're looking for

• Experience designing and operationalizing large-scale release testing platforms including CI/CD and Chaos & Scale.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native networking components like VPCs, peering, transit gateways, service meshes, NATs, and firewalls.
• Expert knowledge of API design and interface technologies such as JSON, ProtoBuf, REST, RPC, and XML.
• In-depth knowledge of K8s, OpenStack, system virtualization, build systems, and infrastructure as code.
• Strong knowledge of observability systems including metrics, logging, tracing, and qualification engineering.
• Broad knowledge of networking solutions across OSI layers 3 through 7.
• Outstanding communication skills to articulate concepts, designs, and decisions.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience (preferred).
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
