As a Sr. Software Release Engineer, Infrastructure Services, you will join the Information Systems and Technology organization to manage release management processes for cloud network services. You will lead the development of large-scale release pipelines, establish standard methodologies, implement resiliency measures like chaos testing, and drive performance and capacity planning. Your daily work involves collaborating with cloud architects and SREs to ensure deployment automation and operational reliability while defending engineering proposals. The role requires expertise in CI/CD, K8s, OpenStack, system virtualization, infrastructure as code, and observability systems including metrics, logging, and tracing. You will work with cloud-native networking components like VPCs, transit gateways, and service meshes, utilizing API technologies such as JSON, ProtoBuf, REST, RPC, and XML to solve complex problems involving high availability and performance across OSI layers three through seven.

What you'll do

Lead and innovate release management processes for large-scale, high-availability cloud network services.
Establish standard methodologies and implement resiliency measures such as chaos testing.
Drive performance and capacity planning for global infrastructure systems.
Lead incident response efforts and conduct detailed postmortem analyses.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for all release processes and technical specifications.
Oversee the design and operation of CI/CD and large-scale testing platforms.
Present and defend engineering proposals to influence organizational success.
Ensure quality in deployment automation and operational reliability across multi-functional teams.

What we're looking for

Experience designing and operationalizing large-scale release testing platforms including CI/CD, Chaos, and Scale.
Solid understanding of cloud-native networking components such as VPCs, peering, transit gateways, service meshes, NATs, and firewalls.
Expert knowledge of API design and interface technologies including JSON, ProtoBuf, REST, RPC, and XML.
In-depth knowledge of K8s, OpenStack, system virtualization, build systems, and infrastructure as code.
Strong knowledge of observability systems including metrics, logging, tracing, and qualification engineering.
Broad knowledge of networking solutions across OSI layers 3 through 7.
Outstanding communication skills to articulate concepts, designs, and decisions.
10+ years of relevant industry experience (preferred); Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
