Sr. Software Engineer II - Java, AVP
As a senior member of an agile Scrum team, you will contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of Charles River IMS modules. You will work under minimal supervision to analyze, design, develop, test, and debug medium to large software enhancements within the business and technical problem domains of a cloud-based investment platform. Your daily tasks include collaborating with Business Analysts to turn complex requirements into sustainable software, providing thought leadership on product architecture, and conducting code reviews. You will utilize Java, C#, SQL, and JavaScript to build applications while writing unit and automation tests. The role requires expertise in object-oriented programming, relational databases, and scripting to solve problems in Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR, or Wealth Management.

What we're looking for
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical course of study is required.
MS degree is strongly preferred.
6 to 10 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience is required.
4 to 7 years of experience developing solutions for Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR, or Wealth Management is strongly desired.
Authoritative experience with object-oriented programming, compiler or interpreter technologies, embedded systems, operating systems, relational databases, and scripting is required.
Proficiency in Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, or other related software engineering languages is required.
A minimum of 5 years working with an Agile development methodology is strongly desired.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
