What you'll do

Deliver complete software solutions across all phases of the SDLC for internal platforms.
Own and maintain the tooling codebases by upholding code review, testing, and release practices.
Manage the knowledge base platform including monitoring, backups, and production operations.
Design and operate new services to automate repetitive manual work and correlate operational signals.
Own the PostgreSQL schema and data layer including migrations, indexing, and query performance.
Provide technical guidance and code reviews to engineers writing automation tools.
Partner with external engineering teams to map service topologies and dependencies.
Advise management on project-level technical issues and build-versus-configure decisions.

What we're looking for

3+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated ownership of a production codebase, including accountability for design, review, tests, deployment, and upkeep.
Working fluency in Shell scripting, Python, and TypeScript.
Depth in databases including schema design, migrations, roles, grants, indexing, query performance, and production backup and restore.
Production experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS and GCP, including deployment and observability.
Operational credibility with on-call engineers and an understanding of on-call rotation work.
Ability to drive technical designs across teams and comfort with ambiguity.
Experience with PostgreSQL, vector stores, retrieval systems, or LLM tooling (preferred).
