What you'll do

  • Deliver complete software solutions across all phases of the SDLC, including design, implementation, testing, and operations.
  • Design, build, and operate infrastructure and tools to ensure system resilience and recovery from failure scenarios.
  • Execute chaos engineering experiments to proactively identify and remediate potential system weaknesses.
  • Build and maintain disaster recovery automation, runbooks, and backup systems for critical data and services.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to improve production stability.
  • Develop tools and automation to manage infrastructure and application configurations as code.
  • Mentor junior engineers and advise management on project-level issues and technical best practices.
  • Define and track resilience metrics, SLOs, and recovery time objectives for owned systems.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field of study.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience operating distributed applications as part of a Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and/or SRE team.
  • Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting infrastructure for global-scale services, preferably on AWS.
  • Deep hands-on experience with IaaS and PaaS solutions from AWS or similar cloud providers.
  • Hands-on programming and scripting skills in Python, Java, Bash, and Go.
  • Hands-on experience with containers and container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with chaos engineering tools, disaster recovery solutions, and backup/restore tooling for distributed systems.
