Senior Software Engineer (API & MCP Governance and Enablement)

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack software products using production-ready code.
• Create optimal system designs that prioritize scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Perform failure analysis to propose design changes and operational improvements.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures.
• Ensure all product development follows established security and compliance standards.
• Implement API governance, architecture, and lifecycle management across enterprise environments.
• Translate complex security, privacy, and risk requirements into actionable engineering guidance.
• Create technical documentation, training materials, and executive summaries for stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Five to six years of relevant experience.
• Experience in API Governance, Architecture, Product Management, Developer Enablement, Solution Architecture, or Technology Risk (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, OpenAPI Specifications, Lifecycle Management, Versioning, Authentication, and Error Handling Standards (preferred).
• Experience defining and implementing API standards, design guidelines, governance frameworks, and lifecycle controls (preferred).
• Ability to drive adoption of technical standards through coaching, consultation, workshops, and enablement programs (preferred).
• Understanding of GenAI Enablement, Responsible AI Practices, AI Risk Controls, and Model Context Protocol concepts (preferred).
• Experience with API Management Platforms, Developer Portals, or working in regulated financial services environments (preferred).
