Senior Software Development Engineer IV

What you'll do

• Own the technical design, architecture, and implementation strategy for major components of the Query Engine.
• Build, code, and test critical services to ensure they run at scale within a multi-tenant cloud environment.
• Extend the Apache Spark codebase to meet specific analytical requirements and data processing needs.
• Develop and deploy highly available SaaS applications using Scala, Java, or the Akka framework.
• Manage large-scale data warehouse operations involving No-SQL, RDBMS, and data federation.
• Optimize system performance by managing costs related to computation and memory requirements.
• Review and provide feedback on features, technology choices, architecture designs, and test strategies.
• Solve complex technical problems and mitigate risks during the development of the Experience Cloud platform.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 7 years of experience is required.
• An MS or PhD in Computer Science or a relevant field with 5+ years of experience is accepted.
• Proficiency in data structures and algorithms using Scala, Java, or the Akka framework is required.
• Proficiency in Apache Spark, Spark ML, and Spark internals to extend code for analytical needs is required.
• Proven knowledge in developing and deploying highly available SaaS applications in public clouds is required.
• Expertise in big-data engineering, cloud-based data warehouses, No-SQL, RDBMS, and data federation is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to collaborate with multi-functional teams.
• Experience with LLMs for improving product intelligence like SQL rewriting or forecasting is preferred.
