The Sr Security Operations (SecOps) Engineer joins the Sales and Operations Engineering team to drive security strategy for applications, cloud infrastructure, and engineering platforms. This role involves leading complex security assessments, threat modeling, and risk assessments while defining scalable security controls and architecture patterns. You will build and integrate reusable security platforms, automation, and intelligent controls to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle. Key responsibilities include managing vulnerability strategies, designing DevSecOps capabilities like SAST, DAST, and secrets scanning, and evaluating AI-assisted workflows for security analysis. You will utilize Python, Go, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code to develop production-quality security automation. The work focuses on securing cloud-native workloads, Kubernetes, and multi-tenant systems, specifically addressing risks in AI-enabled applications and ensuring secure global operations.
Lead security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments for complex cloud environments and distributed systems.
Define scalable security architecture patterns, engineering standards, and reusable controls across multiple engineering organizations.
Design and drive DevSecOps capabilities including SAST, DAST, container security, and secrets scanning.
Develop and implement security tooling and automation using Python, Go, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code.
Lead vulnerability management strategy by prioritizing risks based on exploitability, asset exposure, and application criticality.
Partner with incident response teams on containment, root cause analysis, and the development of preventative controls.
Design and integrate AI-assisted capabilities for vulnerability analysis, security reviews, and incident investigation.
Assess risks for AI/LLM applications, including prompt injection, sensitive data exposure, and excessive permissions.
What we're looking for
8+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, cloud security, DevSecOps, infrastructure security, or a related engineering discipline.
8+ years of experience leading security reviews, threat modeling, risk assessments, and remediation of complex distributed or cloud-native systems.
8+ years of experience in application security, cloud security, identity and access management, network security, vulnerability management, and secure software development.
5+ years of experience in securing production environments in AWS, GCP, or another major cloud platform.
5+ years of experience in programming or automation (e.g., Python, Go, or Java) to build integrations, services, or repeatable engineering workflows.
5+ years of experience in integrating security capabilities into CI/CD, developer workflows, infrastructure-as-code, or production engineering systems.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP) are a plus (preferred).
