The Sr. Scientist, Systems Engineering serves as the EW Division Architect, providing senior technical leadership to define the division’s technical vision, architecture strategy, and mission capability roadmap. This role involves owning the technical roadmap, guiding architectural decisions across multiple programs, and identifying emerging technologies to address mission gaps. The individual will lead IRAD strategy, mentor senior engineers, and partner with business development teams to shape new opportunities. Key required competencies include expertise in electronic warfare systems, electromagnetic spectrum operations, RF architecture, mission payloads, and threat or countermeasure concepts. The position requires an active Top Secret Clearance and a focus on bridging technology development with operational mission needs. The work involves solving complex electronic warfare challenges by ensuring architectural alignment across classified and unclassified efforts to enhance competitive positioning.
Own and maintain the Electronic Warfare division technical roadmap to align with customer needs and business strategy.
Provide division-wide systems architecture leadership across multiple programs, pursuits, and technology investments.
Define and communicate the technical vision for future mission capabilities, platforms, and integrated solutions.
Guide architectural decisions and trade studies to ensure consistency and scalability across the portfolio.
Partner with business development and capture teams to identify new opportunities and shape technical win strategies.
Oversee the division investment portfolio and lead IRAD strategy to align resources with long-term growth objectives.
Provide technical mentorship and leadership to senior engineers and emerging technical leaders across the division.
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on technical risk, roadmap priorities, and long-range capability strategy.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of related experience, a Graduate Degree with 10 years of related experience, or 16 years of experience without a degree.
Active Top Secret Clearance required.
5 years of experience as a chief architect, chief engineer, technical fellow, or equivalent senior technical leadership role (preferred).
10 years of technical experience in EW systems, electromagnetic spectrum operations, RF architecture, mission payloads, and threat/countermeasure concepts (preferred).
3 years of experience bridging technology development, operational mission needs, and business strategy (preferred).
MS or PhD in a relevant technical discipline (preferred).
Demonstrated experience in business growth through customer relationships, opportunity shaping, and capture support (preferred).
