You will utilize tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Cadence OrCad, or Altium Designer, alongside lab equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. The role requires expertise in high-speed SERDES, mixed signal PCBA design, and components like ADCs, DACs, and FPGAs to solve complex satellite communication challenges.

What you'll do

Own the ground gateway gigabit data rate modem design from concept through production.
Design and optimize various electronics sub-system blocks.
Design digital circuitry to support multiple protocols in collaboration with internal teams.
Lead and review schematic capture and PCB layout processes.
Optimize PCB stack-up for improved performance and manufacturing cost.
Execute board bring-up and conduct test campaigns for modules and subsystems.
Manage the transition of hardware designs to production with contract manufacturers.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
5+ years of hardware engineering experience.
5+ years of experience using schematic tools like Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Cadence OrCad, or Altium Designer.
4+ years of experience using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multi-meters.
3+ years of industry experience in high speed (SERDES, etc.) and/or mixed signal PCBA design.
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum for export control.
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or experience designing digital communication systems (preferred).
Experience with high data rate modems, ADCs, DACs, FPGAs, and high speed digital communications (preferred).
