Senior Project Manager, IT

What you'll do

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of complex IT projects across various domains.
• Build and maintain detailed project schedules that reflect technical and business task interdependencies.
• Create strategies for risk mitigation, contingency planning, and proactive issue resolution.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Record detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions to establish clear project deliverables.
• Provide regular status updates and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders and leadership.
• Apply project management methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid using tools like Smartsheet.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and lessons learned for future improvements.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (preferred).
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or other relevant project management certification (preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience (preferred).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing IT projects (preferred).
• Solid understanding of IT processes, system development lifecycles, and enterprise technology environments (preferred).
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent IT projects in a matrixed environment (preferred).
• Experience with a University Health System and Health Applications projects (preferred).
• Working knowledge of using Smartsheet to track project plans and artifacts.
