Senior Project Manager, IT

What you'll do

• Lead the full project lifecycle including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of complex IT projects.
• Manage project scope, schedules, and costs while using verification techniques to keep plans accurate.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential delays or issues.
• Translate technical dependencies from SMEs into actionable project plans and detailed schedules.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholder communications and regular status updates.
• Apply Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies using tools like Smartsheet and MS Project.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and lessons learned for future improvements.
• Ensure internal controls and project activities comply with University policies and procedures.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (preferred).
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or other relevant project management certification (preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing IT projects (preferred).
• Solid understanding of IT processes, system development lifecycles, and enterprise technology environments (preferred).
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent IT projects in a matrixed environment (preferred).
• Working knowledge using Smartsheet to track project plans and all project artifacts.
• Experience with University Health System and Health Applications projects (preferred).
