What you'll do

  • Develop software solutions to ensure the operability of large-scale distributed systems at Pinterest.
  • Create frameworks and processes to eliminate operational toil and reduce overhead for engineers.
  • Automate critical portions of engineering processes to minimize risk and maximize innovation speed.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems
  • Strong programming skills in Python or Go for production-grade platforms
  • Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix internals and open source infrastructure tools
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
  • Preferred: AI agent development for infrastructure automation and reliability
  • Preferred: Technical consulting or embedded SRE experience with engineering teams
