What you'll do

Design and implement tier-1 microservices in Java for the Unified Messaging Platform.
Develop core backend software components and asynchronous cloud processes for data transformation.
Lead the design and enhancement of critical services to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.
Research and integrate new technologies into the production environment to optimize core service offerings.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on code quality and system design.
Conduct code reviews and architecture reviews to improve system reliability and performance.
Own features and functionality from end-to-end, delivering high-quality projects with robust architecture.
Provide on-call support for critical services on a rotational basis.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
5+ years of experience building internet-scale web or services applications.
Experience in Java and/or alternative JVM application development environments such as Scala or Kotlin.
Familiarity with the AWS environment, including ECS (Docker), S3, EC2, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
Proficiency in writing unit, integration, and functional tests.
Experience with Relational and NoSQL Databases like Postgres, MySql, DynamoDB, and Cassandra.
Proficiency with standard CI/CD procedures and tools like Jenkins, Github Actions, and Spinnaker.
Experience with AWS services, big data tools like Spark, Terraform, or serverless solutions (preferred).
