What you'll do

Design and implement tier-1 microservices in Java for the Unified Messaging Platform.
Develop core backend software components to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.
Implement asynchronous cloud processes for various data transformation operations.
Conduct code and architecture reviews to provide technical guidance and improve system quality.
Research and integrate new technologies into the production environment to optimize service offerings.
Own features from end-to-end by delivering high-quality projects with robust architecture.
Provide on-call support for critical services on a rotational basis.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
5+ years of experience building internet-scale web or services applications.
Experience in Java and/or alternative JVM application development environments like Scala or Kotlin.
Familiarity with the AWS environment including ECS (Docker), S3, EC2, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
Proficiency with writing unit, integration, and functional tests.
Experience with Relational and NoSQL Databases such as Postgres, MySql, DynamoDB, and Cassandra.
Proficiency with standard CI/CD procedures and tools like Jenkins, Github Actions, and Spinnaker.
Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Databricks, EMR) or infrastructure as code tooling like Terraform (preferred).
