What you'll do

  • Own the product direction and execution for large-scale Point of Sale (POS) initiatives across retail and food and beverage businesses.
  • Develop and maintain prioritized, outcomes-driven product roadmaps that align with strategic business objectives and technical capabilities.
  • Translate ambiguous business needs into clear technical specifications and user stories for engineering teams to implement.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle including requirements gathering, backlog grooming, and tracking delivery through adoption and measurement.
  • Identify and manage cross-system dependencies involving supply chain, inventory, loyalty programs, and payment processing systems.
  • Apply AI-enabled tools and data insights to improve operational workflows and automate manual tasks for staff.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure project alignment and budget compliance.
  • Support go-to-market efforts by coordinating with marketing, training, and operations teams to ensure successful feature launches.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a similar field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of product management experience (3+ years with a Master's degree) in digital or technology roles within the retail or hospitality industry.
  • Strong technical product knowledge in the Point of Sale space, including payment processing and reporting for retail and restaurant environments.
  • Proficiency in Agile technical practices, DevOps, testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD), and tools like Jira, Confluence, or Smartsheet.
  • Basic knowledge of public cloud technologies such as AWS and an understanding of data pipeline issues.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, matrixed environment with cross-functional technology teams and operational departments.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills to synthesize complex data into a compelling vision.
  • Experience with enterprise POS platforms, multi-site operations, or AI/automation applications (preferred).
