The individual will coordinate with stakeholders to integrate findings into an Agile development cycle, research countermeasures based on red-team activities, and manage plans of action and milestones. Key responsibilities include briefing executive leadership, ensuring compliance with NIST standards, RMF controls, and USCYBERCOM guidance, and identifying gaps in security architecture. Required skills include expertise in vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and defense posture improvement. The role addresses the critical challenge of securing networked sensors and weapon systems to ensure mission assurance for national missile defense operations.

What you'll do

  • Lead the end-to-end Cybersecurity Test & Evaluation lifecycle including planning, execution, analysis, and reporting for multiple projects.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure proper resource allocation and representation during high-visibility MDA Cyber Events.
  • Analyze post-event data to integrate cyber findings and remediation plans into the Agile development cycle.
  • Research and recommend cybersecurity countermeasures based on test data, red-team activities, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Maintain and update Cyber T&E Plans and POAMs to ensure compliance with NIST standards and RMF controls.
  • Provide USCYBERCOM-aligned guidance to strengthen the system's defensive posture and mission assurance.
  • Brief executive leadership by translating complex technical cyber information into concise, mission-focused updates.
  • Manage project timelines and schedules to ensure all tasks are completed according to established program procedures.

What we're looking for

  • Applicants must possess a current, active Government-issued Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
  • Candidates must hold an active Government-issued 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, CCNA-Security, CySA+).
  • A Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience, a Master's degree and 6 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience are acceptable.
  • Candidates must be able to lead the end-to-end Cybersecurity Test & Evaluation lifecycle including planning, execution, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience is required in DoD cyber policy, USCYBERCOM guidance, NIST standards, and RMF controls for mission systems.
  • Candidates must demonstrate the ability to brief complex technical cyber topics to senior leadership in a mission-focused manner.
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs is required.
