Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Administer systems based on Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Automate system deployment, operation, and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tools.
• Manage microservices and distributed application architectures including containers, Kubernetes, and serverless technology.
• Deploy cloud native technologies and provision critical infrastructure in air-gapped environments.
• Design and implement security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
• Maintain security policies and procedures to comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members and stakeholders.
• Manage headless systems using PowerShell and Bash scripting.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years experience, Master's with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years (or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree).
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance and ability to obtain SAP approval.
• Current Security+ or equivalent certification, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
• At least 2 years of experience in directory services protocols such as LDAP, Kerberos, SAML, and OAuth.
• At least 2 years of experience managing headless systems with PowerShell and Bash.
• At least 2 years of experience implementing DISA STIGs on various operating systems and platforms.
• Proficiency in on-prem virtualization and cloud orchestration platforms like VMware vSphere, OpenStack, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Nutanix.
• Understanding of basic networking principles including TCP/IP, subnets, routing, and VLAN configurations.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance (preferred).
• Experience automating OS deployments, large scale Active Directory deployments, and certificate management (preferred).
