Senior Principal Automation Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and manage automated machinery processes using engineering techniques.
• Create programs to simulate, optimize, and test automated machinery for streamlined manufacturing.
• Build advanced systems including measurement functions, control functions, and actuators.
• Configure automation systems using PLC and HMI techniques.
• Audit current equipment and automated processes to determine failure rates.
• Model, test, and measure output data to analyze performance or quality issues.
• Develop solutions to resolve production problems while maximizing reliability and minimizing costs.
• Draft detailed technical documentation for design specifications and relevant project documents.

What we're looking for

• An Associate's Degree is required.
• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• An Engineering degree is required.
• 10-12 years of experience are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
• Extensive background and hands-on experience in programmable logic and automated design are preferred.
• Technical expertise, problem-solving, and communication skills are preferred.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA architecture, and CAE software is preferred.
